Here’s little G’s owl all done.

And little A’s owl is almost done – it just needs some eyes and feet.

These little guys seem to knit up faster with each one I make.

Well here comes another owl – soon I’ll have a house full of these cuties. This one is for little A. She really wanted a blue one. I had hope for a different color only because I’ve already made a blue. This one is different blues though and I think it’s quite pretty.

Yesterday evening I sat down to finish the last claw for my owl when I noticed the first claw was missing. I immediately began searching (which means I ripped the entire living room apart) looking for it. After a bit I stopped, perplexed by how it could just ‘get up and walk away’

A thought dawns on me. My cat Boots is a notorious thief who loves soft, squishy things. He often takes the girls smaller stuff animals and gets them lost behind the couch. I’m betting any money that he has taken my owl’s claw and hidden it somewhere. Since I don’t have the paitence to wait for it to turn up (most likely as a present in front of my bedroom door), I went ahead and made a new one. I’ve learn my lesson not to leave my knitting out anymore. .
