So I finished the hat in about 2 hrs! Well it’s easily done when you use the thickest wool and the largest needles you own.

I also have some 6 strand carded wool. My family have a sheep ranch in British Columbia Canada. http://www.aveleyranch.com Each year they send some to their wool to the Customs Woolen mill in Carstairs Alberta. They do up the wool the way you want it.
