Just in case it doesn’t sale, here: an alternative to frogging that I tried once: I crocheted the back and the front together with a 1 inch crochet band, adding a total of two inches all around. Yes, the sweater looks funny but so far no one has said: “So you screwed up, right?” Most people think that’s just part of the design.

That would have worked well, except I knit it on circular needles so I don’t have any side seams
. It’s not the end of the world, I can order more cotton and make adjustments to get the sweater I want.
