I’ve started this:
Found in the Spring 2008 edition of Interweave Knits here.
I’m using totally different yarn, as the pattern calls for silk and I’m using a cotton-linen blend. I love the yarn and it was gifted to me by my mother-in-law from a lady at the church who is moving to a home and can no-longer knit. This yarn just had to be made into something in this ladies honour.
Of course aside from using a totally different yarn, I’ve already changed the pattern a bit. I noticed they started the sweater with stocking stitch, which we all know would curl – yeah no ribbing or hem? I thought that wasn’t going to work so I’ve knit in a double hem and I’m quiet pleased with the result.
I want!
What colour will it be?
Unusual beginning for a sweater. You can tell that the model’s sweater has a hem or something. It must be a mistake.
That’s what I thought. I started reading the pattern and it said stocking stitch and I thought ‘what no hem or ribbing’?
Noelle, because you asked it’s going to be a pale peach colour. Not necessarily my first choice of colour because it’s almost a skin tone on me, but the yarn is lovely and free so I’m not complaining :).
